Kechara Soup Kitchen

I feel truly privileged to have exposed my children, friends and colleagues to the spirit of volunteering through Kechara Soup Kitchen. What started as a simple act of service became a powerful lesson in compassion, empathy, and community. Watching my children and friends step forward to serve meals, listen to stories, and connect with those in need reminded me that kindness is contagious — it grows when shared.

Kechara Soup Kitchen gave us more than an opportunity to help; it gave us a chance to learn together, to see the world through different eyes, and to understand the importance of dignity and respect in every interaction. It was humbling to witness how even small acts — a warm meal, a smile, a conversation — can make a lasting difference.

I am grateful to Kechara for creating a space where families and friends can serve side by side, and for showing us that volunteering is not just about giving, but about growing together as human beings.
