Every Ringgit You Help Fundraise Counts

In Malaysia, thousands of families struggle daily to put food on the table. Children miss school because they lack basic supplies. Single mothers face impossible choices between caring for their families and earning income. Yet these challenges have solutions—and your fundraiser can be part of that solution.

How it works

Campaign Objective

As a fundraiser, you'll inspire those around you to join your mission to provide food security, education, and empowerment to as many people as possible. Along with increasing awareness and mobilising your community to take action, 100% of every ringgit you raise will directly fund programmes that transform lives with dignity and compassion.

Our goal is to provide six months of food security for 4,500 individuals.

Each food pack is provisioned with RM250 worth of essential staples and daily necessities. Families will receive these packs across three cycles, ensuring a total of 6 months of food security.

Start Your Fundraiser in Three Simple Steps

  1. Set Up Your Fundraiser: Whether you're running a marathon, hosting a charity bake sale, organising a corporate challenge, or celebrating a personal milestone—your "why" will inspire others to support your cause.
  2. Spread the Word: Once your campaign is live, tell everyone you know. Share on social media. Send messages to family and friends. Talk about it at work or school. Post updates about your progress. The more people you reach, the faster you'll achieve your goal—and the more families you'll help.
  3. See Your Impact: 100% of the money you raise will directly fund our programmes—providing meals through our Soup Kitchen, food security through our Food Bank, and empowerment through our skills training and education initiatives.

We'll report back to you about exactly where your funds went and the communities you've helped.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I choose which KSK programme my fundraiser supports?

Yes! You can direct your fundraiser towards a specific programme—Soup Kitchen (meals for homeless), Food Bank (food provisions for families), or Empowerment (skills training and Orang Asli education). We'll work with you to align your fundraiser with the cause that matters most to you.

  • Does 100% of funds raised really go to programmes?

Yes. All funds raised through individual and community fundraisers are directed entirely to our programmes. Our operational costs are covered through separate corporate partnerships and major donor contributions, ensuring your fundraiser creates maximum direct impact.

  • How long does a typical fundraiser run?

Fundraiser duration varies based on your goals and approach. Some run for a few weeks (event-based), others for a month or two (challenge-based), and some are ongoing (birthday fundraisers, awareness campaigns). We'll help you choose a timeline that maximises success.

  • Can schools and universities organise fundraisers?

Yes! Student-led fundraisers are powerful ways to engage young people in social impact. We've worked with schools and universities on various campaigns, from awareness drives to charity runs. We can provide age-appropriate educational materials about poverty and hunger in Malaysia.

  • What's the minimum fundraising goal?

There's no minimum! Every contribution creates impact. That said, we recommend setting an initial goal of at least RM1,000 to cover meaningful programme support (e.g., 200 hot meals, school supplies for 20 children, or food provisions for 4 families). You can always increase your goal as momentum builds.

  • Can I fundraise if I'm not in Malaysia?

Yes! While KSK operates in Malaysia, fundraisers can be organised anywhere. We've had international supporters host fundraisers in their home countries. Online campaigns make it easy for global communities to support Malaysian families in need.

We provide regular updates on the impact of your fundraiser, including stories, photos, and reports from the programmes you support. This ensures transparency and allows you to see the difference your efforts are making.
