Overview
A house assessment isn’t about judging people. It’s about understanding their situation deeply enough to provide the right support. When you visit someone’s home, you see things a form can’t capture. The condition of their housing. Whether they have basic furniture. If there’s food in the kitchen. How many children are living there. What medical conditions exist. These details help us tailor our support and identify families who truly have nowhere else to turn.
House assessments also protect the integrity of our programme. They prevent abuse of the system and ensure that people who genuinely need help receive it consistently.
What You’ll Do
Armed with KSK’s standardized House Assessment Form, you’ll visit applicant families at their homes. You’ll interview them about their circumstances (income, expenses, family size, employment status, health issues), document the living conditions, take photos for records, and complete the assessment form. Your report helps our team decide whether to approve the family for regular food assistance.
